A stunning sanctuary in the shimmering water holy tank, by spotlessly clean marble walkways and pavements flanked it is breathtakingly beautiful.
Jalianwallah Bagh: Historic Monument, which tells the sad story of mass killings during the independence movement in India, Jalianwallah Bagh is another must visit in this city. It is a monument to the martyr’s 1919 massacre of British General Dyer. At present is the place of a park. Martyr’s gallery is open daily from 9 clocks to 5 clocks in summer and from 10 clocks to 4 hours in winter.
Durgiana Temple: In addition, there is a beautiful temple dedicated to Hindu goddess Durga. Easily accessible from the Golden Temple, Durgiana Mandir Puja offering to deities Lakshmi and Narayana. Kiratpur Sahib: was established in 1627 by the 6th Nanak, Guru Hargobind, is also associated with the memory of a Muslim saint, Pir Buddan Shah who was gifted with a very long life (legends say about 800 years). It is located on the bank of the Sutlej about 10 km south of Anandpur, about 30 km north of Rupnagar and 90 Kms from Chandigarh on the Nangal-Rupnagar-Chandigarh road (NH21).
